Valentin Rekunenko (or Valentine Rekunenko; Ukrainian: Валентин Васильович Рекуненко, Russian: Валентин Васильевич Рекуненко ; born 23 January 1955, Tokmak, USSR) – Soviet and Ukrainian artist (painter, graphic artist), member of the Union of Artists of the USSR, member of National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
Valentin Rekunenko was born in Tokmak (Zaporizhzhia region, USSR) in 1955.
In 1974, he graduated from the Dnipropetrovsk State Vuchetich Art College (now Dnipro State Theater and Art College).
Since 1987 Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR, since 1991 Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
1980 – 1989 – Participant of republican and all-union art exhibitions.
1983 – All-Union Art Exhibition “Physical Culture and Sports in Fine Arts”, Moscow
1998, 2001 – Participant of the Triennial of Painting, Kyiv.
2010 – Solo exhibition at the Sevensanatgalerisi art gallery, Istanbul.
2016 – Solo exhibition presented by RC Art Gallery at Dedeman Hotel, Istanbul.
2015 – 2020 – Participant of the international exhibition of contemporary art ArtAnkara, Ankara, Turkey.
The works can be found in Zaporizhzhya Regional Art Museum, museums of Ukraine, private collections around the globe.
The works were purchased by the Directorate of Art Exhibitions of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Ukraine and the Directorate of Exhibitions of the Union of Artists of Ukraine.
